A wooden carousel from Germany, with four tiers, 6 candle holders, and a propeller top. There are no candles included-if I had them, I would have been able to show it spinning, but I didn’t have any in my drawers that were the right size, sadly! The bottom tier houses Mary, Joseph, and the baby Jesus. Next level we have the three wise kings and a donkey, followed by a shepherd, a carol singer, and sheep, and lastly the trumpeting angels. The 14-blade propeller sits atop (the propeller comes dismantled but is easy to build and take down again), and once the heat from the candles rises, it should spin, turning the tiers and creating a delightful memory-making Christmas decoration that everyone will be in awe of. Comes in original box. The box is a bit tatty. The carousel has a few glue marks, one slightly bent candle holder, a re-glued angel, and some wax in the candle cups, but it is generally in lovely condition. Height is around 22 inches (56 cms) and diameter approx. 12.5 inches (32 cms). It’s a wonderful whimsical wintery whopper! A future family heirloom.
