A generous shallow bowl from the mid-century years with a teal glaze on the underside and a matte finish with added colourful glaze trail decoration and swirly detail. Measures 30 cm across and has a height of about 6.5 cm. Weighs around 880 grams and would be lovely displayed on a wall or alternatively employed as a rather nice and striking fruit bowl. Marked Austria 1002. Often West German pieces were marked Austria as it was easier to export than if it was marked Germany in the post-war years. Minor wear around the edge.
